The body’s aerodynamics are said to have undergone testing and refinement in the Pininfarina facility in Italy and were enhanced with a pronounced chin spoiler and a rear wing. The 320i Racing made its debut in the opening race of the 1977 season, the 24 Hours of Daytona, and its heated rivalry in the 2-liter class with the Porsche 935 would continue.

• 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit.
