Introduced in 1959, the Morris Mini rewrote the rules for small cars, pairing a brilliantly compact body with an impressively spacious interior. Then came the Mini Cooper: tuned by Formula One legend John Cooper and ready to turn everyday agility into track-ready excitement.

Its 1,275 cc 4-cylinder engine with twin carburetors delivered 75 hp and a top speed of 155 km/h, while front disc brakes and revised suspension helped make every corner count. In the 1960s, the Mini Cooper became a racing favorite, using its nimble handling and unmistakable go-kart spirit to claim countless victories and class titles in series including the British Saloon Car Championship and the European Touring Car Championship.
