About the Boss 2.2" Tires

Advanced Tread Design for Maximum Traction

The Boss features a unique combination of block and bar tread elements, creating a flexible yet stable contact patch. The H and + style tread layout increases surface contact while allowing the tire to conform to uneven terrain. This design enhances forward bite while maintaining predictable handling under load.

Competition-Focused Carcass Geometry

Built around a 1.5" wide carcass and 5.75" overall diameter, the Boss tire is optimized for 2.2" competition crawler wheels. Radiused tread edges form an arched profile that promotes consistent traction and controlled flex. Minimal tread overhang keeps the tire stable during side loading, making it ideal for precise crawling maneuvers.

Sidewall Performance & Balanced Support

The Boss tire incorporates a clean sidewall design with exposed rubber for improved grip on dry surfaces. This allows the compound to directly interact with terrain when sliding or grinding across obstacles. Included React open cell inserts provide a medium feel, supporting the tire while maintaining the flexibility needed for technical crawling.
