Model Parts Opener (V2)

This Model Parts Opener is the second version of the popular tool by Wave Corporation. This tool is designed for prying apart plastic pieces that have been mistakenly inserted during assembly on snap-fit plastic model kits. Its stainless steel blade is shaped and sized for accurate use in tight gaps, making it ideal for correcting fitted parts without damaging the plastic.

Slim Blade Design

The cutting edge is made thin so it can slide easily into narrow spaces, and the five-millimeter blade width supports access to recessed areas where parts are difficult to separate. The redesigned grip is easier to grasp and provides improved leverage while remaining less than half the thickness of the previous model for convenient storage. A protective cap fits inside the grip to help prevent loss during work, and the handle includes three round holes for measuring part axes and round bars, plus a hexagonal hole sized at four-millimeters for attaching straps.
